After watching this video about mastering you’ll be able to finalise your version of the orchestral music track Show Opener. And I’m really curious about your version! Share it with me before the 1st of December through Google Drive or Dropbox and I’ll add it to the showcase I will create. So we can all listen to the different versions! How cool is that 🙂

Mastering your version of Show Opener
I did use a pretty basic and simple mastering chain for the orchestral music track Show Opener. Two plugins were my friends: FabFilter Pro Q and Ozone 7 from iZotope.
I used the Mission Theme from John Williams as a reference track. My ambition was to come as close as possible to the tonal colour, balance and feeling of that professional mastered and recorded music track.
First I used the matching tool within Ozone. Captured the sounds of the intro of the Mission Theme and compared it with the opening scene from Show Opener. And guess what? We came pretty close. Only the low end needed a bit more.
Furthermore, I’ve used the multi-band compressor, the exciter and the limiter from Ozone 7. I show it to you all in the video.
